Summary of Responsibility
Reporting to the Production Manager, the Mechanical Assembler assembles pre-picked raw materials into completed assemblies and puts assemblies into designated areas. This individual is also responsible for picking raw material when pre-picking is unavailable or unnecessary for specific components.

What You Will Contribute:
• Review and follow production work orders and any associated paperwork, ie. Schematics, work instructions.
• Ability to fill out documentation accurately and completely.
• Communicate with team leaders on assembly instructions, workflow adjustments and scheduling.
• Promote safe work habits and maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
• Follow Safety guidelines, expressed or otherwise informed.
• Able to lift <50lbs as an individual.
• Will be required to pass training onsite with forklifts, cranes, baler and compactors at location.
• Properly use hand and powered tools daily and build assemblies in designated areas.
• Properly use a variety of precision instruments as needed per work cell, or area.

Qualifications & Competencies:
Understanding of hand tools and assembling hardware.
• High School Diploma or equivalent. 2 years continued education, trades, or related experience.
• Ability to understand blueprints and schematics; electrical and mechanical.
• Ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced technical manufacturing environment.
• Understanding of Quality, and Health and Safety Standards.
• Highly mobile.
Mental and Physical Requirements:
Must be highly mobile, able to access all areas of the premises.
Ability to concentrate and remain focused while handling multiple tasks, responsibilities, and projects.
Must be able to perform bending, twisting, stooping, reaching, and lifting of moderate to heavy weight material up to 50 lbs. with assistance from equipment or other employees.
Vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
Ability to keep his/her composure with the public and co-workers in everyday, stressful situations.
