Summary of Responsibility:
The Staff Accountant is responsible for assisting with various financial tasks, including bookkeeping, preparing financial statements, reconciling accounts, and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations. This position plays a key role in supporting the financial stability and success of the organization. This is a unique opportunity for an accounting professional who wants to get involved with an organization that has the advantages of a national organization with the reliability of a "family-run" business feel.
- Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in preparing financial statements, including corporate reporting package as part of the month end closing process.
- Accounts Payable and Receivable: Process invoices, payments, and receipts, as well as follow up on outstanding payments and receivables.
- Financial Software: Assist in the Data Migration and implementation of new Service & ERP Systems.
- Tax Compliance: Assist in preparing tax returns and ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations.
- Audit Support: Provide documentation and support for external audits.
- Communication: Collaborate with other departments to resolve financial issues, provide financial information, and support decision-making processes.

Qualifications & Competencies:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- 1-2 years of relevant accounting or finance experience
- Knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software. Macola and/or Microsoft Dynamics a plus.
- Proficiency in Excel
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
